Governor visits Redington Shores
The city of Redington Shores and The Treasure Island Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce welcomed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to Redington Shores City Hall to sign SB 7028.
The Bill which passed by a unanimous vote in both the House and Senate brings $200 million to continue funding the My Safe Florida Home Program, which helps residents with the cost of improvements, including window, roof and door replacements.
The governor also announced the approval of an additional $50 million to support beach renourishment.

After a welcome by Redington Shores Mayor Lisa Hendrickson, and TIMB Chamber CEO Barry Rubin, the Governor signed the bill surrounded by community leaders including State Senator Nick DiCeglie, Representative Linda Chaney, Mayor Lisa Hendrickson, Mayor David Will and Florida Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Shawn Hamilton.
