Beach Fireworks Displays on July 4

Jun 3, 2019Chamber News, Local, Tourism

It’s a tradition that families have enjoyed for years: watching the fireworks displays along our Gulf Beaches on the Fourth of July.

This year, Madeira Beach and Treasure Island are getting ready to fill the skies with color, and our faces with amazement, once again.

On Madeira Beach, there will be fireworks (weather permitting) starting at 9:00 pm. The display can be viewed from Causeway Park, 424 – 150th Avenue; ROC Park 200 Rex Place, and Holiday Isle, 555 – 150th Avenue. Coolers, chairs, and blankets are permitted, but in the interests of public safety fireworks (including sparklers) are not.

Each of these locations will have free parking on a first come, first served basis. Using alternative transportation such as Uber or Lyft, carpooling, bicycles, or walking is recommended. The ROC Park and Causeway Park locations will be open all day, while the Holiday Isle property will open at 3 p.m.

On Treasure Island, the fireworks display begins at 9:00 pm.  Viewing is on the beach at Treasure Island Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Boulevard. Beach parking is available at Treasure Island Park from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm for $15 per vehicle, $25 for RVs.

Independence Day festivities don’t wait till the Fourth to kick into gear. Both Clearwater and Dunedin have baseball games on July 3, and other fun activities as well. The weekend has plenty in store to enjoy, from one end of Pinellas County to the other.
