For our faith-based communities, Spring marks a time of spiritual renewal and festive celebration.
To help you connect with these events, here is a list of what our local churches have planned to celebrate the Easter season.
Our member Church By The Sea (495 – 137th Avenue Circle in Madeira Beach) begins the season on Saturday, April 13, with The Easter Experience EGGstravaganza, a free family fun festival from 10 am till 1 pm. There will be food, games, a petting zoo, prizes, and pony rideshttps://islandneighborschamber.org/event/easter-egg-hunt-gulf-beaches-rotary-club/?instance_id=6843, as well as an interactive storytelling experience followed by an Easter egg hunt.
On Palm Sunday, April 14, our member CrossBridge Church (50 – 153rd Avenue, Madeira Beach) has an Outdoor Evening Service at 5 pm on the patio at the Madeira Beach Recreation Center, 200 Rex Place, Madeira Beach.
Maundy Thursday (April 18) and Good Friday (April 19) services are held at 6 pm at our member, Paradise Lutheran Church, 10255 Paradise Blvd., Treasure Island.
The Gulf Beaches Rotary Club and City of Treasure Island team up to provide children with a fun event on Saturday, April 20, with an Easter Egg Hunt at the Treasure Island Community Center Park, 154 – 106th Avenue, Treasure Island.
Easter Services will be held on Sunday, April 21, as follows:
Church By The Sea
7:00 am Sunrise Service at John’s Pass Village
Father at Boardwalk entrance and bring a lawn chair.
9:30 am Traditional Service at the Church
11:00 am Contemporary Service at the Church
Children’s Ministry provided at the 9:30 am and 11 am services.
CrossBridge Church
10:00 am Outdoor Service at Memorial Park on Tom Stuart Causeway, Madeira Beach
Paradise Lutheran Church
7:00 am Outdoor service
10:00 am Traditional Service
St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church celebrates Palm Sunday on April 21 with an outdoor service at 7:00 am and a Traditional church service at 10:00 am. Easter Sunday, April 28, is celebrated with a midnight mass on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
