For the third consecutive year, the Treasure Island & Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce has helped drive the success of youth programs in its two namesake beach communities.
The third annual benefit golf tournament, sponsored by Caddy’s Treasure Island on Friday, October 11, at the Seminole Lake Country Club was so successful that the Chamber is able to donate $1,000 each to the cities of Madeira Beach and Treasure Island to support their youth programs.
Chamber president Missy H. Hahn presented a check for $1,000 to Madeira Beach Mayor Maggie Black during the December 10 City Commission meeting.
A check for $1,000 will be donated to the Treasure Island Recreation Department at an upcoming meeting.
“It is so gratifying for us to be able to give back to our communities in this way,” said William Karns, Chairman of the Board for the Chamber and himself a benefactor of a variety of community programs. “Supporting our communities’ youth programs helps to develop excellent relationships not only with our cities, but also with our youth, who are our future business leaders.”
