Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater serves as Pinellas County’s Convention and Visitors Bureau. Hayes was recruited to head the agency in late 2019, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge about ways to build tourism. He joined Visit Pensacola in 2013, and developed the Destination 2020 tourism strategy for the Greater Pensacola Bay Area before accepting his position with VSPC. Prior to working with Visit Pensacola, Hayes spent more than 25 years working for Visit Tampa Bay in various management and leadership roles. The Chamber looks forward to the insights Hayes brings to the future of tourism along our beaches.

The Installation and Awards Banquet will be held at the The West Events, 13435 Gulf Boulevard, Madeira Beach. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner, the installation of the 2020 Board, business awards, a silent auction, and entertainment to follow starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available online HERE.

New to the Board for 2020 are Louis Hatzipetrakos (Dag Bros., Inc.), Erik Remmel (Life Improvement Media), Laurie Davidson Smith (6West Beach Cottages and Sunset Beach Cottages), and Marcus Winters (Caddy’s Restaurant Group).

“We’re looking forward to taking our banquet to The West,” said Chamber president Missy H. Hahn in announcing the event. “The West offers a unique event venue with an industrial-chic motif surrounded by the unmistakable feel of Old Florida.”
