Top-flight Event Venue on the Beach
“The Club at Treasure Island is a private membership club, true,” says Director of Marketing Joshua Cruz, “but we are also an attractive and affordable event venue on the beach for a variety of non-members’ special events.”
Founded in 1972 as the Treasure Island Yacht & Tennis Club, this sparkling facility on Treasure Island Causeway is a hub of social activity for more than 500 families, many of whom live on the grounds of The Club. Membership is also enjoyed by a growing number of residents from the surrounding area who enjoy the ambience of a waterfront restaurant, the exhilaration of a heated set of tennis cooled by Gulf breezes, or an evening of camaraderie and entertainment with other members who soon become friends.
Acquired and renamed by developer Bill Edwards in 2009, the property has earned a reputation as a gracious and accommodating event venue on the beach for weddings, seminars, corporate gatherings, annual banquets, even monthly meetings of civic and social clubs.
“We have our main ballroom for banquets, receptions, and large gatherings,” notes Cruz, “and three smaller rooms for more intimate gatherings.”
The Club has a long-standing relationship with the Treasure Island & Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce (the last two Installation Galas were held there, and this year’s Monte Carlo Casino Night on August 4 will be at The Club), and extends its hospitality to fellow Chamber members planning galas, seminars, retirement or holiday parties, and more.
Food and beverage service is available on-site, and The Club offers ample free parking. Admiral Farragut Academy, All Children’s Hospital, Alpha House, and the Treasure Island & Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce are among the organizations that have found The Club able to handle a wide range of gatherings, from elegant to casual, with exemplary food preparation and service and a gracious and accommodating staff. Audio/video set-up is available at no additional charge, and complimentary coffee, tea, and water are provided during meetings.
The Club at Treasure Island offers a variety of membership options, too. Family, Single, Senior & Intermediate, Corporate, Social, Summer, and Part Time programs are tailored to meet the widest possible range of interests.
Among The Club’s amenities are its lounge and restaurants, pool pavilion, tennis courts, fitness center, marina, massage suite and steam rooms. Concierge services provide myriad ways to enhance members’ leisure hours, and an active social calendar offers something for members of all ages.
