Who Is The Beaches Environmental Action Committee

The Beaches Environmental Action Committee is engaged in the protection of Florida’s gulf beaches, waterways and neighboring beach business community through advocacy, engagement and education. As one of the only local environmental organizations recognized by the Federal Election Commission, Beaches Environmental Action Committee address a wide range of environmental threats, we provide an essential voice on behalf of Tampa Bay’s priceless natural resources. We accomplish our work by bringing people, science and policy together to protect vital ecosystems, defend critical legislation, enforce accountability of our leaders and legislators, and rally our neighbors to become stewards of the community. We do so via a wide range of programs including Sea turtle and sea bird nesting area preservation, red tide mitigation, beach cleanup programs, and benefaction of the EPIC environmental Preservation initiative.
