Treasure Island, FL — The Treasure Island & Madeira Beach (TIMB) Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on January 16 to celebrate its relocation to 12601 Gulf Blvd., Treasure Island.
The move from its former location at 245 – 107th Avenue was accomplished on Friday, November 30, with help from members Ken Hautmann (Caddy’s Treasure Island), Kathleen McDole (Friendly Fisherman), J.J. Buggle (Admiral Farragut Academy), Dennis Fagan (Century 21), Carson Munsey and Christie Walker Munsey (Florida d’ Signs), and Friday office volunteer Dave, all working under guidance from Chamber Event Coordinator Jill Foraker Dunavin.
“This new location is ideal for the Chamber,” said Chamber president Missy H. Hahn. “It establishes us as the only Visit Florida credentialed Welcome Center on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island, and puts us closer to popular John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, so visitors to both our communities can access us more easily.”
“We had nearly 150 people turn out for our ribbon cutting,” observed Joe Dise, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board for 2018. “It was gratifying to see such support for this milestone.”
Dise and Hahn both expressed appreciation to Bill Edwards, whose generosity helped make the Chamber’s rent at its former location affordable.
The new location comprises 2,538 square feet, and includes not only a welcome desk and Chamber offices downstairs and a conference room upstairs, but also several offices that can be used by small business members.
The Treasure Island & Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit corporation. The office, located at 12601 Gulf Blvd., is open Monday through Friday, 10 am – 4 pm. Phone 727-360-4121 for further information.
