Sally’s Spa and Rehabilitation Center combines the best of both worlds: a way to feel and look great, inside and out.
Sally Plink brought her unique approach to wellness to Seminole in 2012, and extends her services to Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, and the surrounding areas.
“I actually have been in business since 1995,” clarifies Sally. “I began in New York, working in cosmetology. My first business was Sally’s Hair.” As her business grew, Sally realized that a simple hair salon wasn’t enough to fuel her passion. “I wanted to expand, to offer greater value to my clients,” she says. “I took aesthetician classes and began offering facials and mani-pedis. I went to school for massage and now offer relaxation and therapeutic massage. I became schooled in essential oils so I could offer aromatherapy with doTerra products. Most recently, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in alternative medicine.”
Being able to offer such a wide range of services means Sally keeps busy, seeing more than 35 clients each month. She joined the Treasure Island & Madeira Beach Chamber in 2018, hosting the grand opening at her current location with help from the Chamber and neighboring businesses.
“I joined this Chamber because I feel a strong affinity for the beaches,” Sally explains. “All too often, people — whether they’re on vacation or working at their daily jobs — tire themselves out and need the type of relaxation offered by a ‘spa day.’ They may overdo their activities and need rehabilitative work, as well. I want our visitors and residents to know that there is a single nearby location that can deliver aesthetics, massage, and alternative medicine.”
Sally adds that she tries to keep prices affordable, and offers discounts and specials on a regular basis.
Her career is centered on helping her clients look great and relieve both acute and chronic pain, but Sally is actively engaged in easing angst in other area, too. “I’m active in the Tampa Underground Network, supporting its efforts against human trafficking,” she says, “I volunteer my skills as a massage therapist to these women who have been trapped in that life, and take so much joy in seeing them escape it and make better lives for themselves.”
